We are excited to announce another new feature here on Hope 4 Hurting Kids called H4HK FAQs!
Our mission at Hope 4 Hurting Kids is:
…to help young people from diverse backgrounds, families, circumstances, and situations who are experiencing hurt, pain and adversity to find hope and healing.
In terms of the Hope 4 Hurting Kids website, we approach this from two distinct angles.
- We provide information, resources, ideas and hopefully inspiration for people who work with kids. This includes parents, teachers, children’s ministers, coaches, grandparents, and anyone else interested in helping a child or teen who is hurting.
- We provide vehicles and resources directly to hurting kids and teens. Features like Ask Us and our online Chat Rooms are examples of this approach, and the new H4HK FAQs series of posts is also intended directly for kids and teens who are seeking help.
You will be able to identify these posts by the H4HK FAQs in the title as well as the logo at the bottom of each post. You can find all of the H4HK FAQs on the H4HK FAQs Page which serves as a hub for all of the H4HK FAQs.
Our hope is that not only will kids and teens find their way directly to these resources, but that adults also will be in a position to refer hurting young people directly to these resources to find help.
As you may know, for the last several years, the website I Am A Child of Divorce (a proud member of Hope 4 Hurting Kids) has been answering questions directly applicable to kids and teens who have experienced family disruption or live in other types of modern families. As part of the launch of this new feature, we will be consolidating those articles directly into Hope 4 Hurting Kids. You will be able to identify those articles by the addition of the I Am A Child of Divorce logo on those articles. While the H4HK FAQs feature will focus, at least in the beginning, on these issue as the content is moved over, our intention is to expand the resource to address the wide variety of issues we deal with here on Hope 4 Hurting Kids in the near future.
